Porta Kleen provides essential services for Ohio Pipeline

Problem

When a Texas-based construction company needed to build a multimillion-dollar pipeline across four Ohio counties, it didn’t know who to count on for its essential sanitation needs. With no previous relationships or experience in the Eastern Ohio area, the company looked for an industry expert that would become a valued partner.

Solution

Leveraging its superior products and quality service, Porta Kleen submitted an estimate and won the contract to provide all sanitation solutions.

Porta Kleen’s innovative Self-Contained Water System was instrumental to the success of the estimate. By combining both freshwater and sewer utilities into one space-saving design, the system can be serviced and maintained efficiently, saving time and resources.

Additionally, Porta Kleen’s operations team developed a strategy to keep all portable restrooms accessible by mounting the units on trailers, allowing workers to easily move them to wherever they were needed. Porta Kleen also provided daily service for all units, ensuring that they were fully stocked and clean.

Over the course of the project, Porta Kleen supplied more than 40 standard and handicap-accessible porta johns, multiple handwashing stations and several self-contained water systems for office trailers.

Results

The pipeline utilized 550 workers and took more than six months to build, resulting in over 1 million hours of labor. By providing the project with customized sanitation services, Porta Kleen saved additional man-hours and revenue.

Porta Kleen reported zero safety issues during the project and followed all safety precautions and regulations, consistent with the site’s policies.
