Porta Kleen Sales Manager Tyler Zook has been recognized with the company’s Mission Award for his commitment to service excellence, results, and safety. The award honors employees who go above and beyond in serving customers and colleagues, achieving measurable success through professionalism, teamwork, and innovation.
For Zook, the recognition reflects a team effort. “First and foremost, it’s teamwork,” he said. “I wouldn’t be able to do half of what I do without the people we have operationally and out in the field. I’ve been fortunate to step outside my comfort zone and help beyond sales where I can. That’s been really rewarding.”
Zook credits the trust and support of leadership for enabling cross-functional impact. “The leadership team has put their trust in me,” he said. “I’m honored to be someone people come to for answers. That kind of trust means a lot.”
Director of Sales Dan Runner said Zook has delivered measurable value through process improvements that enhance efficiency and results. Runner noted Zook’s accountability and consistent alignment with organizational goals, benefiting both customers and the company.

Zook’s reliability and collaborative approach have made him a key contributor to Porta Kleen’s continued growth. He takes pride in the team’s accomplishments, particularly in New Albany, where Porta Kleen’s sanitation services have become a visible part of major construction and data center activity.

The year 2025 marked an important milestone as we proudly introduced the first-ever Mission and RITES Awards—recognizing employees who have not only embraced these guiding principles but have exemplified them in extraordinary ways.
Managers across the company were invited to nominate any employee who demonstrates these qualities, and the final recipients were thoughtfully selected through a collaborative review by the Porta Kleen Employee Engagement Team and Division Managers. These awards honor individuals whose actions, attitude, and commitment inspire others and set the standard for excellence across Porta Kleen. The 2025 inaugural award winners were Tyler Zook and Scott Cooper.
