Safety Practices

We're Serious About Safety

safety_practices_catOur safety practices start with the hiring process and continue through inspections and training of our employees. Stringent safety and compliance protocols are enforced at all times. Prior to the onboarding of a new employee, a background check, drug and alcohol screening and verification that they are legally eligible to work in the United States is performed and confirmed. Throughout their employment with Porta Kleen, our employees are subject to regular drug and alcohol screening processes.

Our OSHA approved personal protection equipment is supplied to each of our service employees who are trained in how to effectively use it. Porta Kleen is founded on the importance of ongoing safety. We strive to make sure that each of our employees receives necessary training. Through extensive OSHA training, employees are less likely to be involved in an accident. In depth spill prevention education is deployed allowing an employee to act efficiently in the event of an accidental spill. The reduction of injuries is another top priority. We accomplish this by teaching safe techniques for light and heavy lifting, climbing and reaching. Additionally, all of our drivers carry and wear personal protection equipment. Through the OSHA 1910 General Industry Standards we receive OSHA 10hr and 30hr certifications along with Hazardous Waste (HAZWOPER). Porta Kleen employees can be trained on the following OSHA topics:

  • General Safety and Health Provisions
  • Personal Protective Equipment
  • Hazardous Materials
  • Respiratory Protection
  • Fall Protection
  • Hand and Power Tools
  • Power Industrial Trucks (PIT’s)
  • Bloodborne Pathogens
  • Heat Stress
  • Hearing Conversation
  • Substance Abuse
  • Diminished Capacity

Outside of the above referenced training we offer certified equipment operators and Train The Trainer (TTT) on the following topics:
